The City of Lowry Crossing will receive bids for the CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE DRIVEWAY AND PARKING LOT within the City. SEALED PROPOSALS (BIDS) will be received until 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at which time will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals received after this time will be returned unopened. SEALED PROPOSALS should be addressed to Janis Cable, City Administrator, City of Lowry Crossing, 1405 S. Bridgefarmer Road, Lowry Crossing, Texas 75069.

A pre-bid conference will be held on January 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at City of Lowry Crossing, 1405 S. Bridgefarmer Road, Lowry Crossing, Texas 75069.

PROPOSAL FORMS, specifications, plans and contract documents may be obtained through CIVCAST or from the City Hall office at the address listed above or by calling 972.542.8678 or via email to jcable@lowrycrossingtexas.org.

The City of Lowry Crossing, Texas reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to accept only those proposals which are in the best interest of the City of Lowry Crossing, Texas.

We have all heard about the "Artic Blast" that will begin heading into North Texas this weekend. Even if we do not receive some form of precipitation, it will be brutally cold. Some things we should all consider:

Pets - bring them inside!

Cars - gas up. You may need that option for warming up or charging your phone. Keep a blanket or other essentials in there.

Groceries - don't wait until the last minute.

Wood - get it to a dry, easy to access location.

Pipes/water spigots - get them covered.

Plants - cover or move inside if possible.

And, if there is a power loss:

Make sure flashlights have fresh batteries. Get out the candles.

Entertainment ideas - books, puzzles, board games, cards.
