NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE LOWRY CROSSING CITY COUNCIL WILL  MEET  IN  REGULAR  SESSION  AT  7:00  P.M.  ON  TUESDAY JANUARY 6, 2009 AT LOWRY CROSSING CITY HALL LOCATED AT 1405 S. BRIDGEFARMER  RD,   LOWRY   CROSSING,  TEXAS,  FOR  THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE:

(A)      Consideration regarding appointing Janis Cable as interim City

            Secretary.

 

(B)      Consideration of approving funds of $39,000.00 to pay off new City

            Hall.

 

(C )      Closed (executive) session of the City Council, pursuant to Section

 551.071, Texas Government Code, to conduct a private consultation

 with its attorney(s) to seek the advice of its attorney(s) about pending

litigation, to wit:  The Town of Lowry Crossing v.

Dan Arney  Civil Action No. 4:08-CV-00292 in the Federal Court

of Grayson  County, Texas, and on a matter in which the duty of the

attorney(s) to the City Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of

Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with

Chapter 552, Tex. Gov. Code, regarding and relating to the

aforementioned lawsuit.

 

(D)       Consideration of any action deemed necessary by the City Council, in

            connection with The Town of Lowry Crossing v. Dan Arney;  Civil

            Action No. 4:08-CV-00292 in the Federal Court of Grayson County,

            Texas.
